This is what one of my best friends with whom we share very beautiful but also very painful past wrote to me when I asked him if there are things he does not want me to discuss publicly:
"Of course you can write whatever you want about me. I am (most of the time) not ashamed of what I do (did, will do) what I want. Or what happened. And if I am I need to get over it."
That's why I love him and that's why we are still best friends.
