Light, at the End of the Tunnel

There's hope. I've finally started to organize my photos from the last one and a half year, so the ones of you who are waiting for photos from me might get them soon in the mail.

Below are some photos that I took in April this year in the Upper Antelope Canyon. I've been to the Antelope Canyon twice before, but it was the first time that I saw its famous light beams. It seems that I got lucky and manged to catch all of them.

Next aim: visit Antelope Canyon during winter.

Lower Antelope Canyon

I have already visited the Upper Antelope Canyon during my 2008 "Grand Circle" road trip with Agnieszka. But as Anil has not seen it yet, I thought that a quick stop at the other slot canyon, called *Lower* Antelope Canyon might be a fun thing to do for both of us.

If you have been there, you know that it is a pricey pleasure. The guided tour to the Upper Antelope Canyon costs $32 per person and the tour to the Lower Canyon costs $25/person. There are much less people in the Lower Canyon, which makes your experience much better and the photography much easier. The Upper Canyon might be slightly more picturesque, but I think now, after seeing them both, I would recommend a visit to the Lower one over the Upper one.

Road Trip 2008: Antelope Canyon

The most touristy thing that we did during our road trip was going on an organized trip to the Antelope Canyon. Before our trip I had seen many absolutely stunning photos of that slot canyon and I really wanted to see it, even though I knew that it would not be an intimate experience. As I expected, there were around hundred of other tourists at the same time as we in the canyon. However, since we had been prepared for that, we did not allow it to ruin our experience.
