Rai Leh East (a.k.a. Rai Lay East) is located on the mangrove side of Rai Leh peninsula. There is no beach there, as the ocean stops just few meters away from the nearest houses. Because of that Rai Leh East isn't good for sunbathing or swimming. That's not a problem, though, as the village is only few minutes away by foot from Rai Leh West and Phra Nang Beaches, both of which offer wonderful sunbathing and swimming possibilities.
Despite the lack of the beach, Rai Leh East is worth checking out, as there're plenty water-front restaurants and pubs. I guarantee that any drink will taste much better when enjoyed within arm's reach of the ocean :)
